South Lagoon, River Ouse and North House Lake - How to get there

The South Lagoon North House Lake and River Ouse are accessed through the Wyboston Lakes Complex. Entry to the complex is from the slip road access to the A1 from the roundabout adjacent to the crown public house at the A1/A428 junction, If coming from the A1 you need to pass the pub and go round the roundabout and come back towards the A1.

Turn left into the Wyboston complex and follow the road through past the driving range and the leisure club. Turn left at the mini roundabout and carry on until the road turns into a gravel track. Please drive carefully and slowly along the track.

The lagoon is on your left - the first available peg is clearly marked after the club sign. There are 27 pegs and you may fish any of these numbered pegs around the southern end of the lagoon to the river inlet.

Park on the grass to the rear of your chosen swim - take care where you park if the ground is wet most of the ground is firm but there can be a few soft areas after heavy rain. Non-Members must not cross the otter fence into North House Lake. (lake marked in red below)

There is car parking for the River behind most pegs. For the further upstream section there is a hardstanding parking area by the entrance to the nature reserve (at the end of the blue arrows below) then there is a track along the river. The track and swims on the upstream section can get a bit overgrown at times but produces some excellent specimens.

North House Lake is situated adjacent to the River and is enclosed by an Otter Fence. North House Lake is for Club Members Only.
